Overview

An 8 night and 9 day adventure road tour to the beautiful remote areas of Leh Ladakh, through adventurous travellers to some of the less visited parts of the world. You will see & experience the changing colours of the Pangong Lake & cross the Umling La road, the highest motorable mountain pass in the world. The route to Tso Moriri Lake & Demchok will take you through these remote locations, making this trip the perfect opportunity to discover beautiful "off the beaten path" regions.

This tour is perfect for those who want to experience the amazing raw nature of the Himalayas & have exciting adventures while creating memories of their adventures in the Himalayas!

Itinerary

After you arrive at Leh airport, you will be directly transferred to Sham Valley, passing through pretty villages along the Indus River.
After reaching, check into your booked accommodation for a day of complete rest.
Overnight stay in Sham.

Following breakfast, drive to Leh, making stops at Alchi Monastery, Sangam, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, & the Hall of Fame en route.
Arrive in Leh by afternoon.

After breakfast, leave for Pangong Lake at 14,500 ft, with a drive of 6 to 7 Hrs.
Arrive at the camp & enjoy free time for relaxation, observing the captivating color changes of the lake & the sunset on its banks.

After an early breakfast, depart from Pangong Lake for an amazing high-altitude drive to Hanle.
The journey leads through the remote & scenic Chushul region, crossing Tahto La, passing the pristine Mirpal Tso, & ascending Kaksang La (17,850 ft / 5,430 m), one of the highest easy passes in Ladakh.
Continue via Yaya Tso, Mahe, Nyoma, & Loma Bend, with Himalayan views at every turn.
Arrive at Hanle Village by evening.
Overnight stay at Hanle.

After an early breakfast, depart from Hanle for one of the most adventurous & remote high-altitude drives in Ladakh.
Travel towards Demchok, passing through stark scenes & dramatic terrain along the sensitive Indo–China border region.
En route, cross Nurbu La (approx. 17,500 ft / 5,330 m), slowly ascending towards the world’s highest motorable road.
Continue the climb to Umling La (approx. 19,024 ft / 5,800+ m), offering unique panoramic views of the vast Changthang Plateau.
Visit Demchok, a distant frontier village near the India-China border, before driving back towards Chisumle via Umling La.
The return journey continues over Phuti La (approx. 18,100 ft / 5,515 m), followed by a lovely descent through isolated valleys & expansive high-altitude plains back to Hanle.
Arrive at Hanle by late evening after a long yet valuable trip.

After an early breakfast, depart from Hanle for a lovely & adventurous drive across the remote Changthang region towards Tsomoriri Lake.
The route leads through the lesser-explored border region of Chumur, offering vast open landscapes, nomadic settlements, and dramatic high-altitude scenery.
En route, cross Salsala (Salsa) La (approx. 16,900 ft / 5,150 m), a high mountain pass known for its raw beauty and isolated surroundings.
Continue the journey through Chumur before joining the road towards Sumdo & Mahe, slowly approaching the Tsomoriri basin.
Arrive at Korzok Village by evening, located on the banks of the Tsomoriri Lake.
Overnight stay at Korzok / Tsomoriri.

Morning after breakfast, leave for Leh via Puga (Sulphur Mine) & Polakongka pass 15,892 ft, Tsokar Lake, & Taklang La Pass 17,585 ft, the second-highest motorable road in the world.
Arrive in Leh by late evening.
Overnight stay in Leh.

After breakfast, explore Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, & Leh Market.
After visiting, drive to Thiksey, & enjoy a traditional Ladakhi cuisine.
Thereafter, continue the journey to Chuchot to watch an exciting traditional Ladakhi polo match & cultural show, showcasing the region's unique sporting heritage.
Overnight stay in Leh.

Early morning, transfer to Leh airport for your flight back to your destination.
The journey comes to an end.
